Opening [Pambungad]

Napakahalaga to build a genuine relationship with your members.

3. Kamustahin ang kanilang mga naging nakaraang lingo – any highlights or challenges.

4. Kamustahin kung nagawa ba nila ang application last week

5. Kamustahin kung meron bang answered prayers mula sa inyong mga ipinanalangin.

Rewind [Balikan ang Napakinggan]

INTRODUCTION

If you are a farmer and want good harvest, anong klaseng lupa ang nais mong pagtaniman?

Nais mo marahil ng masaganang ani or good harvest.

Sa palagay ninyo ano ang nararapat gawin upang magkaroon ng siguradong mabuting ani?

Alin sa mga sumusunod ang pipiliin mong pagtaniman?

1. If you are a farmer/ planter, what are the things you need to know and do about the soil to have a good harvest - V. 3-8

a. Careful Handling (seeds) – v. 4

4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. We must be taking care of the seeds to be planted so that it will not be a waste of time and effort that the birds will just take and eat up.

b. Cultivating – v. 5-6

5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.

c. Cleaning (Grass Cutting) – v. 7

7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain.

d. Compost Pitting/Potting (Fertilizing) – v. 8

8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”

2. If you are hearing this, you want to understand who is the farmer and who is the soil? – vv. 9-20

In the first part of our outline, I am addressing you as a farmer to know what to do how to have a sure good harvest.

But this time, we will understand what Jesus meant when He told this parable to His disciples and people around

9 Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

10 When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables.

11 He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables

12 so that, “‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,

and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise, they might turn and be forgiven!”

13 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable?

3. If you are the Soil (your heart), what do you think you need to know and do so that the farmer will have a sure good harvest? – V. 14-20

a. Focus on God’s Word (Take heed, not take for granted)

14 The farmer sows the word.

15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

b. Faith in God’s Word (Rooted not shallow)

16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy.

17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away

c. Freedom from cares of this world (worldliness, wealth and worries of life)

18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word;

19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.

d. Fertile and Fruitful (accept and apply) v. 20

20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”

CONCLUSION

If the Word of God (seed) is being sown in your heart either today or someday and you think you are not interested and not yet ready, think of the bird that comes and take away the seed just like Satan stealing your chance to hear His message of love.

We can do something as what we have learned this morning on how to prepare the soil for good, fruitful harvest.

God never forces us to accept and love him, for love forced is not love at all. Instead, God frees our minds and hearts from all the cares of this world, worries, barriers, rooted in sin, that would stand in the way for us to hear and accept His Word, His message, His Love.

Reflection [Magnilay-nilay]

· Kumusta ang kundisyon ng iyong puso ngayon? Handa ba ito maging good soil for good harvest?

Prayer [Panalangin]

Closing [Pangwakas]

I-remind ang grupo tungkol sa mg ito:

- Kanilang daily Bible reading and devotion

- Pagdalo sa church

- Pagbibigay (tithes and offering)
