Kung gusto ninyo ng downloadable version, you can get the file here:

Here's the video of the sermon if you need a review:

Opening [Pambungad]

Napakahalaga to build a genuine relationship with your members.

3. Kamustahin ang kanilang mga naging nakaraang lingo – any highlights or challenges.

4. Kamustahin kung nagawa ba nila ang application last week

(Please open your Bibles with your CC kapag may mga verse na nabanggit sa ibaba)

Scripture: John 17:1-26

PETITION

When we say petition, it means an earnest request. Isang marubdob na paghiling. Other related words are pleading or begging. It is more than just asking for something.

I. JESUS PRAYS FOR HIMSELF

“Father, glorify Your Son”

Jesus prayed to be glorified to bring glory to God. We too should ask God to be glorified in our lives.

“Not as I will, but as You will”

Jesus, perfect as he is, prayed for God’s will to be done. We too should pray for God’s perfect will to be done.

II. JESUS PRAYS FOR HIS FRIENDS

“May they be one”

Jesus asked the Father for his disciples to be one, as he and the Father are one. We too, even in our differences, should plead to the Lord to keep us as one.

“May their joy be full”

Jesus asked the Father for his disciples to be full of joy. Let us also pray for our brethren to be filled with joy.

“May they be kept from the evil one”

Jesus pleaded to the Father to protect the disciples from the evil one. Let us also plead to the Lord to protect our brethren from the evil one.

“May they be sanctified by the truth”

Hebrews 14:12

As Jesus prayed for his disciples to be sanctified by the Word, we too should pray for another to be sanctified by the Word.

III. JESUS PRAYS FOR ALL BELIEVERS

“May the world know Jesus through us”

Jesus prayed that the world will know him through us. Let us pray that our salvation will not be confined in us.

“May we join Jesus in heaven”

Jesus wanted us to join him someday in heaven. Let us also desire to bring people with us in heaven.

SELF-CHECK:

CONCLUSION:

And this is our assurance: JESUS IS ALIVE! 1 Corinthians 11:14

Kaya wag tayong manghinawang manalangin.

Practice [I-apply ang Natutunan] and Prayer [Panalangin]

Closing [Pangwakas]

I-remind ang grupo tungkol sa mg ito:

- Kanilang daily Bible reading and devotion

- Pagdalo sa church

- Pagbibigay (tithes and offering)
