Opening [Pambungad]
Napakahalaga to build a genuine relationship with your members. Ang Care Circle ay hindi lang para sa attendance o pang-sesermon kundi pagkakaroon ng relasyon sa isa’t isa at sama-samang pagtahak sa buhay.

Scripture: Rev. 21:1-11; 22-27
I. THE AWESOME CONTINUITY AND DISCONTINUITY (Ang kahanga-hangang pagpapatuloy at pagtigil)
Vs. 1a - Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth...
A. THE CONTINUITY: NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH
· Greek word for 'new': ‘kaine’; meaning: new in character, ‘fresh
· Creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption
· Renewed, not new
· (Isaiah 65:17-19) ...I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold, I create a Jerusalem as a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
· (Psalm 102:25-27) ...You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You will endure; yes all of them will grow old like a garment, like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will have no end.
· Issues:
o This earth will never be destroyed
o Only a spiritual and moral change
o Millennial earth?
Vs. 1b - for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
B. THE DISCONTINUITY: NO MORE SEA
· Sea was a place of separation and evil
· The sea is associated with the heathen
REFLECT: Mas lumawak ba ang pang-unawa mo sa Biblical na concept ng ‘heaven’? Makakasama ka ba rito?
II. THE IMMENSE DIFFERENCE OF THE HOLY CITY (Ang malaking kaibahan ng Bagong Lungsod)
Vs. 2a - And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God...
A. It is The Holy City, New Jerusalem
· Different from any earthly city
· Isn’t isolation, but a perfect community of the people of God
· Place of life, activity, interest, and people
· In the redeemed community of heaven
· A sinless, pure, community of righteousness, a holy city
· Is not and never can be the achievement of man, but only a gift from God
B. It is compared to the Adorned Bride
Vs. 2b - prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
· Prepared as a bride adorned
· How beautiful the New Jerusalem will be, like a bride
REFLECT: Are you excited to live in this Holy City, the New Jerusalem?
III. THE WONDROUS PRESENCE OF GOD WITH HIS PEOPLE (Ang kamangha-manghang presensya ng Dios kasama ng Kanyang mga hinirang)
Vs. 3 - And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
A. The presence of Jesus is most desired
· This tabernacle of God is the reality of His presence
· God’s desire is to live in close fellowship with man
· Companionship with the Most High
B. The absence of most undesired things
· No sorrow, no death or pain
· Wipe away every tear from their eyes
· Comfort of God
REFLECT: Can you see yourself: believing but now seeing Jesus face to face and comforting you?
IV. THE STUNNING ABODE OF GOD’S PEOPLE ( Kabigha-bighaning tirahan ng mga anak ng Dios)
Vs. 22-27
A. Things not needed are not here anymore!
· No temple
· For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple
· No place of worship or sacrifice
· No need of the sun or of the moon
B. Splendid glory is here to stay!!!
· Our focus will be totally on the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb
· None of our joy, beauty, or knowledge will be based on created things
· The Lamb is its light
· The entropy law will be ‘repealed'
REFLECT: Do you desire this kind of pure joy in this new abode…in fellowship, in worship, in loving relationship with The One Who loved your soul?
THIS IS ALL BIBLICAL!
REFLECT: Paano mo nakikita ang sarili mo sa future…sa new Heaven, new earth?
