ZOOM IN

Pre-Work [Please do this at least 2-3 days before your CC]

Please study this material prayerfully before using it!

At bilang bahagi ng magiging “application” for this CC meeting, ask your members to bring some food na pwedeng pagsaluhan ng grupo. Pwedeng kahit na maliit na bagay – even candy or chichirya – or pwede ring mas malaki – pizza, pancit, bread, donuts, etc.)

Check-in

Bigyan ng oras ang bawat member to share 2 things: their ROSE and their THORN.

Introduction

Maraming beses, iniisip natin ang Kaharian ng Diyos bilang isang idea lang o something for the future—parang malayo, parang “heaven someday.”

Today, we will ZOOM IN and take a more detailed look at how the kingdom of God works, and how we can start experiencing it here on earth.

Discussion

Question 1:

Read: Revelation 21:3, Psalm 16:11

Let’s zoom in.

💡 Leader Guide / Teaching Anchor:

Let them answer first. Then help them see that in heaven, we experience the presence of God and there is fullness of joy!

💡 Leader Guide / Teaching Anchor:

Let them answer first. Then help point them to the items below:

Even here on Earth, pwede nating ma-experience ang presence ng Lord. Sabi sa Matthew 28:20, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." He already promises that He is with us always!

Sometimes we feel like “malayo ang Diyos” dahil sa kasalanan, kabusy-han sa buhay at distractions (pwedeng kahit sa mga ‘magagandang’ bagay – gaya ng trabaho, pamilya). Pero Siya nga ba talaga ang lumalayo?

Basahin natin ang Jeremiah 29:13 at James 4:8.

If we seek God and draw near to Him, He will be found and He will draw near to us!

Let’s be intentional in seeking God and drawing near to Him! Sabi sa Psalm 16:11 na binasa natin kanina, in His presence, there is fullness of joy! Kung parang you are feeling down or discourage, the key is to be aware of His presence!

Basahin natin ang John 15:4 & 15:11. Jesus tells us to abide in Him – at sinasabi nya raw ito (among other things na sinabi nya sa John 15) so that His joy may be in us and that our joy may be full!

Question 2:

Read: Psalm 103:19, Psalm 89:14, Revelation 19:6

Let’s zoom in.

💡 Leader Guide / Teaching Anchor:

Let them answer first. Then help point them to the items below:

Psalm 103:19 shows that God’s throne is in heaven. He has universal sovereignty from His heavenly throne. Siya ang ultimate authority.

Psalm 89:14 shows that God’s throne is founded in righteousness and justice. He reigns in accordance with what is just and right.

Revelation 19:6 shows that God reigns! His authority is good because God is good!

Follow-up: Sa tingin niyo, pwede na ba maranasan sa buhay natin ngayon itong reign and authority from our Father in heaven?

💡 Leader Guide / Teaching Anchor:

Let them answer first. Then help point them to the items below:

We sometimes / oftentimes resist God’s authority in our lives. At hindi ito new problem – even ang mga Israelites noong unang panahon, kahit na naexperience nila firsthand ang great works ng Diyos, they became rebellious and “did what was right in their own eyes”.

Sabi sa Isaiah 53:6, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way.” Hindi ba ganito rin tayo paminsan-minsan?

But the good thing is, sabi sa Hebrews 12:6, “The Lord disciplines the one he loves...” Let’s remember that He is a loving Father who wants what is best for us.

Question 3:

Read: Revelation 21:4, Revelation 7:9, Revelations 21:3 (again)

Let’s zoom in. Ano kaya ang itsura ng community / fellowship with God’s people when we’re in heaven? How do you believe heaven will look like?

💡 Leader Guide / Teaching Anchor:

Let them answer first. Then help point them to the items below:

Heaven is portrayed as a diverse yet perfectly united community worshiping together.

Many of the things that damage human relationships—sin, pain, loss, jealousy, fear, conflict—will be gone.

When Jesus was on Earth, Jesus gave a new commandment to His followers which is in John 13:34, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another."

Naging prayer din ni Jesus for us future believers ang nasa John 17:21 which says, "That they may all be one... so that the world may believe that you have sent me."

Marahil ito ang itsura ng community when we’re in heaven – united, loving one another.

Follow-up: Anong masasabi mo kung icocompare what the community in heaven would look like compared sa iyong current community ngayon?

💡 Leader Guide / Teaching Anchor:

Let them answer first. Then help point them to the items below:

Noong times of the early church, it was very evident how they had a sense of community with true fellowship—like a foretaste of heaven.

Basahin natin ang Acts 2:44–46 and 4:34-35. Ano ang makikita natin?

They shared their lives and possessions. Hindi ito forced communism kundi voluntary generosity out of love.

Their community ay hindi “Sunday church” tapos uwian tapos meet nalang ulit next Sunday. It extended beyond worship gatherings to everyday life.

They practiced hospitality towards one another – kaya rin tayo nagdala ng food to share today at nagkamustahan, to show a picture of what the early church did.

No one was left in need.

May we be the spark that starts it. After all, our main inspiration is Jesus.

Jesus says in Matthew 20:26, "Whoever would be great among you must be your servant." Jesus gave a good example when He washed the feet of His disciples. Imagine – Jesus Himself, kneeling, holding the feet (na malamang ay marumi) ng mga disciples and washing them. And of course, the best example was when He laid down His life by dying on the cross.

Question 4:

Pinag-usapan na natin how awesome life would be in heaven, and how that kind of Kingdom living can start even while we are on earth.

💡 Leader Guide / Teaching Anchor:

Let them answer first. Then help point them to the items below:

Hindi lang tayo ang gusto ng Lord na maka-experience nito. 2 Peter 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise... but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." 1 Timothy 2:4 says, "[God] desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

His heart is that people would be saved and we can play a part by sharing Jesus with others. Maraming tao ang walang joy, hope at peace, walang direksyon at purpose ang buhay, at walang real community. Let us show God’s love to them – let's be His hands & feet and show love & care for these people. Dalhin natin si Jesus sa kanila so they can experience God’s Kingdom now and in the future.

APPLICATION

Let’s apply what we discussed and reflected upon today!

  1. Abide in Him and enjoy His presence this week. Can you commit to having quality and intentional personal time with the Lord through PRAYER and HIS WORD? (Leader, if your members need help sa Bible reading plan o kung paano magbasa ng Bible, please inform the CC Reporting group chat & we will share resources.)

  2. As a Care Circle, prayerfully choose one person/group in church to bless with your time, effort, or resources—para maramdaman nila that they are in a loving community. Pwedeng magvolunteer kayo as a CC to teach sa Children’s Church, or magtreat sa isang youth na madalas nakikita nyong mag-isa, or offer to help someone na maglinis sa bahay, etcetera. Ask for the Holy Spirit to lead your CC to what you can do.

  3. Right now, think of one person na inyong kakilala na wala pang personal relationship kay Jesus. And set some time this month to reach out to the person over chat or text, or mas okay kung over coffee or food, o kung maiinvite mo sya sa church.

(Leaders, please check kung kamusta ang application throughout the month.)
