Here's our Care Circle "Continuing the Conversation" guide for November 13, 2022.

Opening [Pambungad]

Napakahalaga to build a genuine relationship with your members.

3. Kamustahin ang kanilang mga naging nakaraang lingo – any highlights or challenges.

4. Kamustahin kung nagawa ba nila ang application last week

Purpose: Be able to relate through concrete examples what God wants from His people to do personally and corporately.

Introduction:

First Sunday – LEAD US LORD – TO BE WHAT HE WANTS US TO BE

Second Sunday – LEAD US LORD – TO DO WHAT HE WANTS US TO DO

For this month of November with the series: LEAD US LORD, we were taught thru the message last week that to be what He wants us to be, we need to put off the old ways and put on the new attitude, to live by faith and not by sight, and to decide to what is from above to make an impactful life.

As we continue with our series today with the topic, “TO DO WHAT HE WANTS US TO DO”, nagkaroon na po ba ng pagkakataon ang bawat isa to come before God personally, and in His very presence, you were able to ask God: “My God, what is it that you want me to do?” And corporately, as a church, have we come to seek God, TO DO WHAT HE WANTS US TO DO?

When we read the whole Bible, we can find so much, as in so much admonitions ng God to people, from generation to generation, from the Old Testament to NT, merong mga passages/verses na nagpapahayag ng Kayang mga naisin ng Panginoon na gawin ng Kanyang mga anak.

And today, Lead Us Lord, to do what YOU wants us to do.

I.GOD WANTS YOU BE STRONG IN THE GRACE THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS

2 Timothy 2:1 (ESV) You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus

2 Timothy 2:1 (NIV)

You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:1 (New Living Translation)

Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.

English Standard Version

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus,

The Greek here may be translated either, “be strong by the grace that is in Christ Jesus” or “be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”

A. To Be strong in the grace, you need to know your standing with Christ

To be strong in grace, you must understand your new position in Christ through God’s abundant grace – YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED BY GOD.

Grace is properly defined as God’s unmerited favor. And you have this, from the day you accepted Christ as personal Lord and Savior.

A.2. To be strong in the grace you need to be weak to experience God’s sufficiency.

2 Corinthians 2:10 - For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

When you lost your job, be strong in the grace!

When you lost your money (na-scam), be strong in the grace!

When your business gets bankrupt, be strong in the grace!

When you got sick with CANCER (All kinds), COVID, tumor, pcos: be strong in the grace!

When somebody left you or deserted you, be strong in the grace!

When you have been bullied, be strong in the grace!

Na-heart broken ka, be strong in the grace!

When you lost someone dear to you, BE STRONG IN THE GRACE!

IN ALL THESE, GOD WANTS US ALL TO BE STRONG IN THE GRACE THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS!

THAT GRACE IS IN CHRIST JESUS, AT DAHIL TINANGGAP MO SI KRISTO SA PUSO MO AS LORD AND SAVIOR OF YOUR LIFE, THAT GRACE IS IN YOU, IT IS WITHIN YOU….YOU JUST NEED TO BELIEVE AND EXERCISE THAT TRUTH NA NASA IYO ANG KAGANDAHANG-LOOB NI KRISTO!

To be able to do what HE WANTS US TO DO, you must be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

II. GOD WANTS YOU TO WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION – Philippians 2:12

Philippians 2:12 (ESV) Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,

Philippians 2:12 (GNT) So then, dear friends, as you always obeyed me when I was with you, it is even more important that you obey me now while I am away from you. Keep on working with fear and trembling to complete your salvation,

Philippians 2:12 (KJV) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Philippians 2:12 (MSG) What I'm getting at, friends, is that you should simply keep on doing what you've done from the beginning. When I was living among you, you lived in responsive obedience. Now that I'm separated from you, keep it up. Better yet, redouble your efforts. Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God.

Philippians 2:12 (NAS) So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling;

Philippians 2:12 (NIRV) My dear friends, you have always obeyed God. You obeyed while I was with you. And you have obeyed even more while I am not with you. So continue to work out your own salvation. Do it with fear and trembling.

YOU NEED TO WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION!!!

HOW?

A. WORKOUT 1: your daily worship time in God’s word & prayer

B. WORKOUT 2: go to your church meetings (attend church!)

Uhumm…Aside sa ating Sunday services, meron po tayong mga Department meetings, Faith Night, Care Circle…do you attend in your department meetings? 100% na pwedeng umattend physically.

C. WORKOUT 3: “GET IN SHAPE” spiritually, by getting some sins out of your life, that have been hindering you spiritually. – the putting on and putting off (note last week’s sermon)

4. WORKOUT #4: GET OUT and DO the ministry that God has called you to be a part of. GET OUT and DO THE MINISTRY God has called you.

Remember, You can be confident that you have been saved, if you are “working out” your salvation.

MAY GINAGAWA ANG PANGINOON, GAWIN MO RIN ANG DAPAT MONG GAWIN – GBO

To be able to do what HE WANTS US TO DO, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Paul also gives a command using a strange and often misunderstood phrase: "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." This statement implies a need to live out—to practice, demonstrate, and exhibit—the salvation which believers have in Christ.

Conclusion:

LEAD US LORD TO DO WHAT YOU WANTS US TO DO, IN SO DOING WE CAN ABLE TO DELEGATE THE MANDATE THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN TO US.

Reflection [Magnilay-nilay]

  • In what specific ways am I working out my salvation?

  • In what ways in my life am I demonstrating that my profession of faith in Christ is real?

Prayer [Panalangin]

Closing [Pangwakas]

I-remind ang grupo tungkol sa mg ito:

- Kanilang daily Bible reading and devotion

- Pagdalo sa church

- Pagbibigay (tithes and offering)

- Pananalangin (kasama ang Prayer Cell)
